Early To Bed, Early To Rise
by Aaron K.
The man who makes it the habit of his life to go to bed at nine o’clock, usually gets rich and is always reliable. Of course, going to bed does not make him rich–I merely mean that such a man will in all probability be up early in the morning and do a big days work, so his weary bones put him to bed early. Rogues do their work at night. Honest men work by day. It’s all a matter of habit, and good habits in America make any man rich. Wealth is a result of habit." -John Jacob Astor (German immigrant business magnate)
Early to bed early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise. -Ben Franklin.
What good does it do for a soldier to put on his armor before he goes to bed? For putting on your armor is the first thing a good soldier does in preparation for the days battle ahead. Great men get up early. The Wise Godly man spends the first fruits of his day with God renewing his mind in preparation for the day ahead. Action. My sons, wise hard working men go to bed at a respectable hour and get up early. They get out in front and lead their day…while most people wake up last minute and begin responding to life’s daily wanderings. Nothing good in life happens late at night. Cultivate the habit of going bed at a decent hour and getting up early–best preparing mentally and physically for the day ahead. It will be a habit that will serve you very well in life.
