God gives. 7.6.12

Now God had given the chief of staff both respect and affection for Daniel. God gave these four young men an unusual aptitude for understanding every aspect of literature and wisdom. And God gave Daniel the special ability to interpret the meanings of visions and dreams.
Whenever the king consulted them in any matter requiring wisdom and balanced judgment, he found them ten times more capable than any of the magicians and enchanters in his entire kingdom. (Daniel 1:9, 17, 20 NLT)

God is everywhere always working His sovereign plan, forever present and faithful in even the smallest details of our lives. He is the sole giver and source of favor, aptitude, wisdom and balanced judgement. Daniel is a great story of God raising up a faithful young man, seeing so practically the different areas of Gods active hand and favor in his life. God reveals the heart of the king really is in His hands turning it which ever way he wishes, having the chief of staff find respect, affection and favor with Daniel. God gives Daniel and his friends great aptitude, understanding and knowledge of all literature and wisdom…filling the gap helping them become experts in their respective positions in Babylon. God gives Daniel special abilities in interpreting visions and dreams helping him standout amongst his peers. God gives them favor, revealing to the king that they have ten times the wisdom and balanced understanding of the world experts of the day. Action. My sons, the world elevates, esteems and trusts in knowledge, ivy league degrees and elite pedigree…irrespective of one’s common sense, wisdom and understanding. Those are important of course, but not at the expense of God going before you…working on your behalf. For what you really want in life is God’s presence in granting you favor in the hearts of others, divinely giving aptitude and knowledge of life/calling, all while ordaining special abilities and wisdom covered in balanced understanding. This is true wisdom and the blessed life…ones ability to connect the dots (both seen and unseen) maintaining divine big picture perspective while faithfully executing the small details of daily living.
