Fear-an insidious virus. 9.7.11

"Fear is an insidious virus. Given a breeding place in our mind, it will permeate the whole body of our work. It will eat away our spirit and block the forward path of our endeavors. Fear is the greatest enemy of progress." -James F. Bell

Why is fear such an insidious virus? Fear being dangerous because it is rarely grounded in logic. Mankind is inherently fearful and for the most part vastly over inflates it’s fears of the risks of progress. Men that tackle grand endeavors and embark on a program of progress and action, have to develope the x-factor skill of managing, controlling and assessing accurately their fears. Perhaps the greatest type of fear seems to be the fear of failure, as we elevate all that we can loose if we fail, rather than all good that can come from advancement. Action. My sons, decide to never be afraid of failing in any endeavor …take wise calculated risks in life. Knowing that you are responsible how God is the glorified in your life…that’s what should fuel your progress. Fear is a virus that erodes our trust in God and keeps many great men safely at bay, never venturing out to experience the full extent of what God can do on their behalf.
